CVR RULES AND REGULATIONS

The following Rules and Regulations apply to all Track Day Operators and their employees, agents, participants, guests and invitees.  TDO’s are responsible for ensuring that all TDO employees, agents, participants, guests and invitees are aware of and abide by these Rules and Regulations.  (copies of the Rules and Regulations are available at the CVR administration office)

1.         Track Hours

Track Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Monday through Sunday

No one is to enter the track without permission of CVR personnel. 

2.         Entry Fee

            There is a daily $10.00 entry fee for every person entering CVR. 

3.         Required Execution of Release

Prior to being granted access to CVR, every person must sign a standard waiver and release of liability.  Parents/Guardians of minor children shall be required to execute a waiver and release on behalf of such child.

4.         Paddock Speed Limit

Paddock speed limit is 5 miles per hour.

5.         Track Access

Access to the track is only granted by the grid marshal.  The grid marshal also reserves the right to prohibit access to the track if they deem that the driver’s experience level, vehicle worthiness, or attitude is a safety risk.

6.         Grid Marshal Control

All vehicles on the track are under the control of the grid marshal at all times.  Drivers must follow all instructions.

7.         Control of Vehicle

Each participant is responsible for the control of their own vehicle.  The grid marshal will monitor the driving conduct of each participant while on the track.  If a participant is driving in an aggressive nature they will be given a warning.  If the participant continues to drive in an unsafe manner they will be asked to exit the track and leave CVR. 

8.         Track Locations

Track locations will be referenced by corner names or corner numbers.  Be sure to become familiar with such names and numbers in order to better facilitate communication with the grid marshal.

9.         Flagging

Control flags must be displayed at the starting grid and all corner stations.  Recommended control flags.

GREEN:  Track is clear.

YELLOW:    Caution, no passing allowed.

RED:   Track is closed, slowly reduce speed and exit the track in the standard fashion, unless directed by TDO or CVR staff.

BLACK:   Black flag pointed at participant, something is wrong with the vehicle, participant’s driving level or participant’s performance on the track.  Exit the track in the standard fashion and await information from TDO or CVR staff.

              CHECKERED:  Session is over.  Exit the track in the standard fashion.

10.       Vehicle Safety Requirements

a.         All open automobiles, including convertibles, must have a roll bar, except for touring laps.

b.         Safety wiring of drain plugs is strongly recommended.

c.         A fire extinguisher, securely mounted, is strongly recommended for all automobiles.

11.       Safety Apparel

                 a.         All drivers and passengers are required to use a Snell approved helmet.

 b.         Full leathers (whether one piece or two), boots and gloves are required for all motorcycle participants. 

12.       Sound Limitations

CVR management reserves the right to restrict any and all vehicles that exceed the allowable decibel level.

13.       Paddock Transportation

The use of scooters, bikes, golf carts, ATVs, Segways, etc. is restricted to roadways and paddock areas.  These vehicles are not permitted on any unpaved areas and must follow all rules, including a speed limit of 5 mph.

14.       Walking the Track

TDO’s may allow activities such as walking, running, roller skating or pedal bike riding prior to the first session. No motorized vehicles of any type are allowed on the track during this time except for safety crews.

15.       Damage to Pavement

Anchor all canopies by a weight method only.  No holes in the paved areas are permitted.

16.       Fueling

Each participant is responsible for fueling their own vehicle.  Any damage caused by fuel spillage will be charged to the TDO.  If any oil/fluid spills occur notify the nearest CVR staff personnel immediately so that it can be cleaned up.  A clean-up fee may be issued, depending upon the size of the spill.

17.       Registering Complaints

TDO’s or participants who wish to officially register a complaint should transmit the same in writing to the Director of Operations. 

18.       Reprimands, Suspension, Expulsion

CVR management and its authorized agents are fully authorized to privately discipline, suspend or expel any TDO or participant for reasonable cause in their sole opinion.  If a TDO is expelled, no refund of Track Rental Fees will be made.  Such reasonable cause may consist of, but is not limited to, violation of the Agreement, which in the opinion of CVR management or any of its authorized agents, is prejudicial to CVR’s welfare, or for any improper usage of CVR property.  The decision of CVR management or any of its authorized agents is final.

19.       Family and Guests

TDO’s are responsible for any and all charges incurred by their employees, agents, participants, or participants’ family and guests.  Furthermore, TDO’s are fully responsible for the behavior of their employees, agents, participants, or participants’ family and guests.

20.       Children

Parents shall be responsible for and supervise the conduct of their children while at CVR.

21.       Pets

Pets must be on a leash at all times if brought to CVR and pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after them.

22.       Liability for Personal Property

TDO’s and their participants are responsible to care for their personal property while at the Facilities.  Company will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal property of TDO’s or participants while such persons are at CVR.

23.       Controlled Substances

Controlled substances shall NOT be sold, possessed or consumed at CVR.  Violators shall be subject to expulsion and possible criminal prosecution if detected.

24.       Track Management Exclusive Authority

CVR Track Management may post supplemental rules and regulations in a public area near the entrance to each configuration of the track for the purpose of amending or supplementing the Rules and Regulations.  To ensure general safety and efficient operation of the race courses, each and every person shall, by executing the general liability release upon entry to CVR, acknowledge and agree to the Rules and Regulations, including any supplements.  It is the responsibility of TDO and each participant to read, understand and accept the Rules and Regulations before use on any racecourse at CVR.  If there is significant change, the supplemental rules and regulations shall be mailed to each TDO.

25.   Insurance Requirements

            a.         TDO shall obtain the following insurance: (i) general liability insurance with a combined single limit of Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00); (ii) a participant legal liability with a limit of Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00); (iii) excess medical insurance with a limit of $5,000.00; and, (iv) accidental death and dismemberment coverage with a limit of $5,000.00.

             b.         Such insurance policies shall state that the insurance is primary in coverage to any other insurance which may be available to Company.

TDO shall name Company, Chuckwalla Valley Associates, LLC and their members, employees, agents, and sponsors as additional insured on all policies.

            c.         TDO is required to provide proof of insurance to Company in the form of a Certificate of Insurance at least Seven (7) days prior to an Approved Planned Activity.

             d.         Insurance riders are available through Company.
